Here are the most frequently asked questions:

1What time are your services?
Our one weekly worship services is at 10:00am on Sunday mornings in the sanctuary. Sunday School is a hour before between 8:45 and 9:45 AM.
2Where is Calvary UMC Located?
Calvary's address is 3701 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37215. If you are heading south on Hillsboro Pike, we are directly across the street from Starbucks, seated between Woodmont Christian Church and Park's Cleaners.
3Is your building accessible for people with mobility issues?
Yes! We have handicap accessible entrances with ramps at the north (door 7) of the sanctuary and through the Christian Life Center (door 10) at the portico entrance. There is also an elevator in the building for access to each floor (door 1).
4What should I wear to worship? ....really.
You are welcomed to come to worship at Calvary just as you are, dressed however you wish! We believe God doesn't care about our outward appearance, just our hearts. However, we also recognize that many people want to "blend in" when visiting a new church. While there is truly a diversity of dress here (from jean shorts and Hawaiian shirts to full suits), something akin to "business casual" is likely most common in worship.
5Where do I enter the building?
Below is a map of our main floor including handicap accessible entrances. All of our doors have a number beside them. The main Sanctuary door is #7. The main office door is #4. If you have any questions about the location of anything else in our building feel free to call us: (615) 297-7562 or use the contact form.
6What is available for children during worship?
We are deeply committed to investing in the health, wellbeing, and spiritual formation of our children and families. To that end, we do not simply provide "childcare" but thoughtful, age-appropriate curriculum for our little ones during both worship services and the Sunday school hour. We are committed to safe sanctuary policy compliance to keep all of our children, and other vulnerable people in our community, safe and healthy. You can read more about safe sanctuary policies at Calvary here. If you have any further questions about children's ministry contact Betsy Haley, Director of Children & Family Ministries.
7How do I become a member of Calvary UMC?
If you are interested in joining our church, click here to email Brian Marcoulier, our senior minister. He will be glad to meet with and discuss the process of joining our congregation.
8What does your church believe?
Calvary, like the United Methodist denomination, is a "big tent." That means we have people on all ends of the political and theological spectrum and everything in between. We believe that our diversity of belief is one of our strengths. We believe ALL members of the body of Christ are needed in order for the body to be complete. John Wesley (one of the founders of the Methodist movement) said, "Though we cannot think alike, may we not love alike? May we not be of one heart, though we are not of one opinion? Without all doubt, we may. Herein all the children of God may unite, notwithstanding these smaller differences.“ One of the strengths of our congregation is that, in the midst of our diversity of belief, we seek to indeed love alike.
